• The Model LT features the blue Quick-Flo tip, ideal for use with very course soils and non-soil container media.  
• Used for reading moisture levels in living soils, soiless medias, and the like
• 18" depth is good for soil beds

We shoot for a reading of roughly 10 when using Irrometer tensiometers in our soil.
