 The Irrometer service unit helps you initially setup your Irrometer tensiometer. The package comes with a green dye that will make the fluid in the tensiometer visible from a distance. 

The vacuum pump with help with removing air bubbles form you tensiometer. Air bubbles in your tensiometer can make it so the gauge gives a false, or incorrect reading.
